Restrictive eiatng can definitely be a cover for an eiatng disorder, or in more typical cases a way to diet while claiming it’s for health rather than vanity.I’ve never gone gluten-free, but I went through about a year of telling everyone I was vegan even though when I was alone I would eat animal products with no concern whatsoever.
